about tina

When people ask me if I’m an artist, I hesitate.  Aren’t we all?

I learned to paint in a class taught by my best friend's mother in her basement when I was 12. It was my favorite part of the week. Ahhh... creating things!

For my college major, I thought “art”! My father told me that since I loved helping people, nursing would support me, and art could be my hobby. Now I love it when my art has a way of helping others, too.

Pets should last forever. No words can convey the joy they bring or the sorrow when losing these four-legged wonders. So, I started painting their portraits, gifting them to friends, and word got around...

In the words of Carrie Fisher, and borrowed by Arlene Monarch:

“ Take your broken heart, make it into art."
